Network Team Leader - Bristol, UK

Applicable is seeking a new Network Team Leader to join our Infrastructure and Network Services team. You will be leading a team that provides the capability necessary to develop, secure and manage our global network.

Applicable runs hybrid UC and collaboration services for some of the world's largest enterprise customers with over 340,000 application users - we understand what it means to deliver mission critical services.

About the role

As the Network Team leader, you will be responsible for managing and developing the global Network engineering team.

Your main duties will include:

  • Lead the team of Network engineers.
  • Support the INS manager on the strategic vision for the Network function consolidating technologies, vendor alignment and process improvement.
  • Support operational activity i.e. incident, request, and change and problem management.
  • Lead complex incident investigations.
  • Lead projects or support project tasks.
  • Contribute to Service Design functions such as capacity and availability management. Designing solutions that meet requirements.
  • Pre-sales Technical Design Authority proposing solutions as requested.
  • Support ISO27001 accreditation activities and roadmap.
  • Allow support and projects to consume services from the Network team in a consistent and reliable fashion.
  • Seek to mature the enterprise delivery of Network services at all times.
  • Participate in the shift rota and the on-call rota.


This role is based in our Bristol office.

About the applicant

You will have been in similar roles before, either managing a team or leading a large scale project. You'll be passionate, dynamic and self-motivated, and will bring the following skills to the role:


  • Proven ability to lead a team, inspire desired behaviour and represent management.
  • Previous experience as a senior Network engineer with record of supporting successful projects and support experience.
  • Cisco certification to CCNP level.
  • Experience of Network technologies from leading vendors i.e. Juniper, Cisco, f5 and Dell.
  • Cisco Data Centre Design experience.
  • Ability to prepare quality written correspondence, and internal and external-facing documentation.


  • Hardware Load Balancing experience i.e. f5.
  • SIP based telephony products.
  • Security experience and certification.
  • Good external-facing and presentation skills.
